Usain Bolt is halted by this cameraman

Bolt was taking his latest victory lap in the Bird's Nest stadium with a Jamaican flag wrapped around his neck. A cameraman riding a Segway scooter ran over him protruding from a trackside camera rail that caused the scooter to veer abruptly to the right and clip Bolt from behind.
The Bolt accuses and Gatlin disposes
"He took me out," Bolt said later and added
"The rumor I'm trying to start right now is that Justin Gatlin paid him off."
Gatlin's shrewd response to it
"I want my money back. He didn't complete the job."

The vanishing act of vanishing spray

The 2014 FIFA World Cup has thrown a curious case of using vanishing spray by referees. The vanishing spray works in the following way :
The spray is basically a foam which is a substance that is formed by trapping many gaseous bubbles in a liquid or solid.

• Gas : propellant
• Liquid : water
• Foaming emulsifier keeps these two substances together. The gaseous propellant evaporates so that the foam vanishes to leave only water and other solutions.

• Foaming emulsifier : polyoxyethylenated sorbitan monolaurate (polysorbate 20)
• Propellant : butane-isobutane-propane
• Cation chelating agent : tetrasodium EDTA 
• Preservative : diazolidinyl urea, propylene glycol, and butylcarbamate
• Water : distilled water, in a percentage from 80.00% to 95.00%

Plyometrics

Plyometrics (also known as "plyos") is a type of exercise training designed to produce fast, powerful movements, and improve the functions of the nervous system, generally for the purpose of improving performance in sports. Plyometric movements, in which a muscle is loaded and then contracted in rapid sequence, use the strength, elasticity and innervation of muscle and surrounding tissues to jump higher, run faster, throw farther, or hit harder, depending on the desired training goal. Plyometrics is used to increase the speed or force of muscular contractions, providing explosiveness for a variety of sport-specific activities. Plyometrics are useful for several sports - notably football, volleyball, rugby, basketball, track and field athletics, racket sports, parkour, martial arts, skateboarding, wushu, Breakdancing....

Mallakhamb an ancient gymnastic

Mallakhamb is an ancient traditional Indian sport. 'Malla' means gymnast, and 'khamb' means pole. Thus, the name 'Mallakhamb' stands for 'a gymnast's pole'. The origin of Mallakhamb can be traced to the 12th century, where it is mentioned in Manas-Olhas - a classic by Chalukya in 1135 A.D. For seven centuries, the art lay dormant, till it was revived by Balambhatta Dada Deodhar, the sports and fitness instructor to Peshwa Bajirao II, who reigned during the first half of the 19th century. The apparently simple 'khamb' does not reveal the complexities of the exercises, which require the performer to turn, twist, stretch and balance on the pole. It is this consummate grace, this agility, dexterity and suppleness of body, combined with quick reflexes, muscle coordination and sense of timing, that single out this game as special. Of the states in India, more than 14 participate in Mallakhamb competitions at the national level.

Rio de Janeiro the 2016 Olympics host

The Old capital of Brazil- Rio de Janeiro has done it to the Olympics 2016
IOC President Jacques Rogge made the announcement that The city of Rio de Janeiro has been elected as the Host City of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad at the 2016the IOC’s 121st Session in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Competitors : Chicago, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo

Europe had the most voting members with 46 (including Rogge), followed by Asia with 23 , Africa with 15, North America with 13, South America with five and Oceania with four.

The competition venues in Rio de Janeiro will be clustered in four zones--Barra, Copacabana, Deodoro and Maracanã.

Jallikatu

Jallikatu is a part of harvest celebration in Tamil Nadu, where a bull has to be controlled. It is a dangerous game but it shows the fearlessness that people have in their minds. It was referred to court by PETA( people for ethical treatment of animals) but Supreme court has given nod for the game but only under government supervision.
