3D Printing:technology at its best

3D Printers are on the way of becoming fact from fantasy. 3D printing more precisely “additive manufacturing” is preparing a solid object of plastic or some soft metals, polymers from digital model. Here, things are created using layers of various materials.
Appropriate 3D software is the backbone of this fascinating technology. After reading from the software, melted thermoplastic is extruded in very thin layers that obtain accurate shape with continuous hardening.
3D printing is an older technology. But the patents on the process expired in 2008 giving boost to innovation in this technology. It may be a dress, shoe, case of mobile, statue or even a 3D model of brain.3D printing is the sensation of this era. Evolution of this technology from infancy is showcasing wide spectrum of applications. In medical field creating more accurate prosthetics, various medical implants, dental implants, synthetic tissue are truly a boon.
At present there exist some limitations such as all materials cannot be used. But upcoming days will bring the solution for every drawback. As the technology emerges, issues will arise about quality of the product, illegal copying, and intellectual property etc. Hence, strong regulatory measures are required to control the misuse of this technology in any field.

Bulk sms numerical short codes

Short codes are mobile numbers that are significantly shorter than regular mobile numbers (usually 10 digits) which are used for SMS, MMS and Interactive Voice Services. The idea behind short codes is to make them easy to remember. For example: Indiatimes has the short code 5-8888 in India, while Star India has 5-7825 (i.e. 5-STAR on a keypad). Messages sent to a short code can be toll free or – in most cases – more expensive than a regular SMS.

Short codes are used for buying content, interacting with a help menu, voting on TV programmes, listening to mobile radio, and a host of other services. Telecom operators, VAS service providers and TV channels use Short Codes for generating revenue.
Short Code Services In India

Short codes are owned by mobile operators, and those listed below have merely licensed the code from each operator. Which means, an operator can choose not to allow a short code to function on its network by simply not renewing the annual license.

Conditional Access System

Conditional Access System (CAS) or Addressable System is a description
normally used for a set of hardware devices and connected software (including a set top
box) used at different stages of distribution of a TV channel through which normally the
pay channels are transmitted in encrypted form. The subscriber is given an authorization
depending upon his request to view one or more of such encrypted pay channels of his
choice. The subscriber will pay for those pay channels which he or she has chosen to
view in such a system. The authorization is given and controlled by the Multi System
Operator (MSO) who owns the Conditional Access System in a Cable Television
Network. In this, he is often assisted by the Local Cable Operator. The words
“Conditional Access System” and “Addressable System” are quite often used
interchangeably. “Addressable system” signifies that a subscriber is identifiable. The
Multi System Operator and the broadcaster will know the exact number of subscribers of
a pay channel or a bouquet of pay channels and the amount that is due from that
subscriber.
