Samsung Note III : bigger but not flexible yet

The rumors of flexible OLED for Samsung seems to be a wrong one with sources suggesting now that the flexible screens are still not in mass production stage.
Tablet + Phone + Laptop ?
Note III is rumored to have an Exynos Octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz for the A15 processor and 1.7GHz for the A7 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and runs Android 4.2.2. With these huge screen and specifications, Note III which is called a phablet has gone an inch closer to becoming laptop and finally getting "All in One" tag.
Wonder what to name it as ? "Phablap" !!!

S4 is finally here!!!

Samsung has finally unveiled much awaited new smartphone Galaxy S4, and has taken the war of smartphones to another level. The rival competitors might have started feeling tremors. Galaxy S4 has  2,600 mah battery, octo core processor & with out of the box Android jellybean 4.2.2 OS, it offers the most unique features.

• 5 inch full HD super AMOLED display has adapt display feature, where display of screen adjusts itself depending on what you are viewing. Playing game, checking mail or viewing video- adjustment of the screen provides greater comfort for user.
• Supports Global LTE roaming
• Smart scroll- senses your wrist movement along with where your eyes are looking on the screen and scrolls the webpage up or down depending on the movement.
• Air Gesture –Without touching the phone, just by waving your hand above the screen, its possible to flip between pages, photos, songs.
• Smart pause- Playing video will pause when you take your eyes away from the screen and resume playing when you look back to the screen.
• Air view- Just by hovering your finger, without touching the phone, now it’s possible to see glimpses of photo album or mail.
• It adds business cards or contacts directly from picture and automatically save the information to contacts.
• IR Blaster enables to control your television by acting as remote.
• Dual Camera- Galaxy S4 has 13 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera. And both cameras can work simultaneously.
• Samsung Galaxy S4 Knox – allows you to keep your professional stuff separated from personal one.
• Eraser shot – scans the image and removes unnecessary content in the image. Its possible to remove blurry people from photo.
• S Translator - translates any text on the phone , that may be SMS, email, or webpage. It can translate from voice into text and vice versa.
• S health software tracks your fitness, eating, heart rate etc. It has in-built pedometer.
• Group play - enables s4 handsets to join private network and share music, photos, documents when they are close to one another.
But it lacks few features as expected by many, like flexible/bending display Samsung youm, high speed wireless connections(802.11). Technology analyst Jeff Kagan stated “The Samsung Galaxy S4 is very good, but looks like an evolution to the S3, not a revolution," And yes.. thirst for the new continues as always and will be never ending.

Waiting for Galaxy S4? It may never be named so...

Samsung may not name its next flagship phone as S4. If you are waiting for S4; it is most probably that you will end up not getting the handset named S4.
SSSS......Superstitious Samsung ?
The pronunciation of 4 is not that much cool in the part of the world from where Samsung comes from. In Korean, it implies kill; and in Chinese and Japanese language this implies death. The samsung might not take the risk of naming it as S4 and more rightly because of the fact that none of its previous models are named with 4.
Unbreakable glass : The next big thing
Samsung might be thinking of unbreakable glass in its next devices. And with this new thing, you might well have a new series name. Samsung might also continue to name it as galaxy 4 and hoping that the new device would make a killing in the cut throat smartphone competition.

Samsung Chaebol - Conglomerate

I was wondering what it meant when Samsung was referred as chaebol in some of the articles.
Chaebol in South Korea means a conglomerate which is controlled usually by some powerful families.
So this chaebol is making news in mean time for both good and bad reasons. The patent ruling against Samsung in the patent infringement case filed by Apple mighthave dented the image of Samsung. But it has given ample exposure to Samsung as the court proceedings refused to go away from making headlines.
Finally the case of patent has made it look like Samsung is the real competitor for Apple and other Android based smartphones left in the lurch in the smartphone war.
