• Diarrhea in diabetics due to autonomic neuropathy-enhances salt and water reabsorption from the intestine.
• Heroin or nicotine withdrawal;
• severe pain;
• dysmenorrhea;
• vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause;
• ethanol dependence;
• prophylaxis of migraines;
• impulse control disorder,
• attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),
• clozapine-induced sialorrhea
