Turn off automatic upload feature
- Open iPhoto
- Go it iPhoto tab in top left corner
- Go to preferences
- Go to photostream
- Uncheck the automatic upload feature

Photostream in mac : Turning off automatic upload feature
The photos taken in your SLR camera, when copied into the Mac and opened through iPhoto; automatically stream these photos to all your iOS devices. A bit annoying right ?
