This was exactly what several users of Paypal had to gone through when they received an email, which claimed the account holder had won 100€. The message goes on and asks the account holder to check in on their accounts as the reward had already been credited.
Spam spam spam
All these chain of things point towards a typical spam which is aimed at phishing personal details
Not actually a spam : just a mistake
Incidentally, there is a 100€ daily rewards being announced for some people in Germany. The same thing might have gone awfully wrong and this might have resulted in this spam like mess. The credentials of the email looks as if it is a genuine one and the possibility of spamming is rare, although the official confirmation is awaited.
