Google Chromebook Is it the future business computer?



Prices start at $349, for notebooks with Intel Atom dual-core processors and limited local storage, running Chrome OS
Orders starts from June 15th
A sneak peak into the specifications of the models made by samsung and acer
  • The Samsung Chromebook features a 12.1" screen, a dual-core Intel processor, HD webcam and sports a battery life of 8.5 hours of continuous usage. It can be connected to the Internet using Wi-Fi and 3G
  • The Acer Chromebook sports an 11.6" screen, an Intel Atom dual-core processor, HD webcam and 6 hours of battery life.
School price is $20/month per student and for businesses the aforementioned $28/month per user. The subscription price requires businesses to make a 3-year commitment
This chromebook might well be very apt for business institutions which are ready to pay the above mentioned fee and limit their functions to internet and save a huge chunk on the servers and other things.
This might make the, Microsoft the market leader in this segment a hard run for its money...
