Internet protocol and its types

When computers communicate with each other, there needs to be a specific set of rules and instructions called protocols that each computer follows. Because of the many ways computers can communicate with each other, there are different protocols like 

• Hypertext Transfer Protocol HTTP
• Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure  HTTPS
• File Transfer Protocol FTP
• Serial Line Internet Protocol SLIP
• Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol TCP/IP
