A reference list contains details only of those works cited in the text of the document. These details must include sufficient detail so that others may locate and consult your references. The reference could be a book, journal article, pamphlet, internet site, cassette tape or film. Cited text must be followed by a superscript number and the sufficient detail must be provided regarding the reference in the reference list at the end.
A bibliography lists sources not cited in the text but which are relevant to the subject and were used for background reading. Bibliography sources must be arranged alphabetically at the end.
