Indian Cyber Security : Confused at the core

The attacks on the Indian Cyber backbone National Informatics center has raised the question of which department of the Government has to be given task of protecting this precious data. Interestingly, two departments are at loggerheads for taking over the Cyber security. The department of IT believes the job should vest with the Computer Emergency Response Team while the National Technical Research Organisation says it must have the responsibility for both defensive as well as offensive cyber security.
